The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. Baltimore, MD 21215 POSITION DUTIES
The purpose of this position is to process incoming re-registrations and updates sent to the CJIS-SORU through the Offender Watch System formerly Maryland Online Sex Offender Registry (MOSOR) system. This position maintains/updates Offender Watch and corresponding logs pertaining to the registrant's status. This position is responsible for ensuring thorough and accurate information is received, reviewed, and updated. It is necessary for this position to verify registrant information through ens systems including NCIC, MD RAPS, Ident/lndex and also OBIT, OBSG, MVA, Maryland Judiciary Case Search and various other resource systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. Candidates may be responsible for providing their own transportation as needed to access meetings, remote locations, and job destinations as assigned.
