Instructional Assistant - Bear, Delaware

Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting early learners as a contracted preschool paraprofessional. Work directly with children in an engaging early childhood program onsite near Bear, Delaware, Monday through Friday, 35 hours a week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You'll play an important part of a collaborative team, providing hands-on assistance to young students and teachers in the classroom.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required—pending permits must be documented with a DEEDS portal screenshot.
Experience working with preschool-aged children or within early childhood education settings as a paraprofessional is highly desirable.
Familiarity with behavioral support plans (BSP) a plus.
Must complete required $85 CBC fingerprinting upon offer.
Candidates with RBT certification must secure their own BCBA supervision outside of school hours if they wish to keep certification active; RBT title and pay will not be recognized in this setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist classroom staff with instructional and behavioral support for preschoolers.
Work collaboratively with teachers and related service providers to implement daily routines and learning activities.
Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development in line with classroom goals.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.
Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and families as needed.
