Sr. Business Analyst - Merger and Acquisition

Overview

Seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join a Merger & Acquisition Integration Team . In this role, you will analyze large volumes of data, support process mapping and gap assessments, and help drive decision analysis across multiple workstreams.

This position requires someone analytical, experienced, and proactive who can bring clarity to complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the centralized Integration Management Office (IMO) by reviewing business requirements, capability maps, blueprint information, and related documents.
• Work through large datasets to build reporting, identify dependencies, and present insights across workstreams.
• Conduct process mapping , comparison of current vs. future state, and detailed gap analysis .
• Support decision analysis by helping evaluate Option A vs. Option B scenarios and documenting impacts.
• Assist with QA/QC of data before information is presented to leadership.
• Partner with cross‑functional workstreams to gather information, validate assumptions, and synthesize findings.
• Provide clear documentation, process flows, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Experience in Banking (Mid‑Cap Banking preferred) or FinTech .
• Advanced expertise in:
• Process Mapping / Process Flows
• Gap Analysis
• Reporting & Traceability
• Ability to analyze large quantities of data and translate findings into actionable insights.

Nice to Have

• Experience performing Project Management responsibilities.
• Experience with Change Management .
• Familiarity or hands-on experience with Smartsheets .

Additional Expectations

Use Case Example:

You will sit within the central IMO and be deployed as needed across workstreams. Initial activities include reviewing business requirements, capability map data, and blueprint information; then assisting with process comparisons, decision analysis, and insight generation.

Key Skillsets:

• Highly analytical—strong pattern recognition, process analysis, and ability to interpret complex documentation.
• Ability to synthesize capability maps/blueprints to identify overlaps, gaps, and dependencies.
• Some project management experience.
• Strong documentation and process‑flow creation skills.
• Scenario and decision‑support experience (evaluating Option A vs. Option B).
