Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Tampa, FLRole: Contract-to-HireCompensation: $23-26/hrWork Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with 3+ years of accounting experience and strong hands-on AP experience. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable activities, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely while supporting month-end close and other accounting functions.ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, matching, and payment processingReview and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and supporting documentationReconcile vendor statements and research and resolve invoice and payment discrepanciesMonitor AP aging and follow up on outstanding invoicesProcess employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policiesAssist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliationsMaintain accurate vendor records and accounting documentationAssist with billing and other accounting transactions as neededSupport accounting and finance projects as assignedMaintain confidentiality and follow established internal controls and accounting proceduresRequirements3+ years of accounting experience with strong hands-on accounts payable experienceStrong understanding of full-cycle AP processesExperience reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepanciesStrong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPsERP/accounting software experience requiredStrong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environmentExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with vendors and internal teams
