Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate students' mental health concerns, drawing out strengths and areas for growth.

• Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of students and their families, considering cultural factors and individual circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, to foster resilience and personal growth.
\n
• Formulate detailed treatment plans with measurable goals, outlined interventions, and regular progress reviews to ensure effective care.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, psychologists, and healthcare providers, to ensure cohesive support for students.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans for students in immediate distress.
\n
• Actively advocate for students’ rights and connect them with necessary community resources and support services.
\n
• Participate in community outreach and engagement activities, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma within the educational environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will focus primarily on a diverse youth population in a school setting, including students facing a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. You will be instrumental in identifying at-risk students and providing early intervention to prevent escalation of mental health issues, ultimately enhancing the overall educational experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated cultural competence and understanding of diverse populations.

• Strong communication skills, characterized by empathy, active listening, and an ability to build rapport with students and families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a community mental health setting or school environment is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
