Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments that document clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health from consultation through to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans for a diverse range of clients, ensuring appropriate therapeutic approaches are used for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and impactful individual and group therapy sessions to enhance clients’ coping mechanisms and therapeutic skills.
\n
• Continuously monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, maintaining thorough documentation within electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Coordinate care and services for clients who are admitted to hospitals, following up with relevant providers regarding their ongoing treatment needs.
\n
• Assist clients' family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges while promoting supportive healing environments.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors or situations that may hinder recovery and actively participate in crisis intervention when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, addressing a myriad of mental health disorders, from anxiety and depression to more complex clinical conditions. Your ability to connect with clients and understand their unique experiences will drive therapeutic success and foster a supportive environment critical for positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) within the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of current therapeutic methods and mental health treatments.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical or outpatient setting.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record management systems, specifically AVATAR.
\n
• Understanding of co-occurring physical health and addiction disorders, along with best practices promoted by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience in providing crisis intervention services and familiar with collaborative care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
