Work Environment\n

This role is primarily conducted in a telehealth setting, allowing for flexibility and convenience in delivering care. Our team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts that may be needed to accommodate patient requirements. You will use telehealth platforms to conduct assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring that our patients receive necessary support in a comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, focusing on the intricate needs of older adults, and gather relevant medical, psychological, and social history.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that consider each patient's cognitive, physical, and emotional health.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, specifically designed for geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other health professionals to ensure the provision of integrated, holistic care to our patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support for elderly patients during mental health emergencies, addressing urgent needs effectively.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, the potential for treatment outcomes, and available community resources that can aid in recovery.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to continually enhance skills and knowledge.

• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and advancements in geriatric mental health to integrate new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is the geriatric population, including elderly patients affected by mental health issues that may arise from social isolation, cognitive decline, and chronic health conditions. You will work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment challenges during significant life transitions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• Strong clinical skills and experience working with the geriatric population, highlighting a deep understanding of age-related mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
