Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established, privately held global beauty manufacturing and packaging organization that collaborates with many of the world's leading fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, and personal care brands. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic global environment, supporting financial reporting, consolidations, and technical accounting initiatives while partnering closely with accounting and finance teams across multiple international locations. Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the company's global financial reporting and consolidation processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting, and financial analysis, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including preparation of management reporting packages and supporting schedules.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of consolidated and legal entity financial statements to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations, and account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
• Review reporting packages and balance sheet reconciliations from domestic and international subsidiaries to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Partner with global finance teams to understand and reconcile differences between local statutory reporting and corporate reporting requirements, working closely with the tax team as needed.
• Analyze financial results and significant account fluctuations, providing meaningful explanations and insights to senior leadership.
• Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures across multiple entities.
• Research and document technical accounting matters, including areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, and impairment analyses.
• Prepare accounting memoranda and supporting documentation for management and external auditors.
• Support external audits, tax engagements, and other requests from consultants and advisors.
• Participate in accounting system enhancements, process improvements, and reporting automation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and operational efficiencies within the accounting function.
• Perform ad hoc accounting research, reporting requests, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and accounting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
• Experience with financial consolidations and multi-entity reporting environments.
• Familiarity with OneStream or other consolidation/reporting platforms is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptable mindset with a willingness to take ownership of challenging projects and new responsibilities.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• Prior experience with financial consolidations and corporate reporting required.
• CPA designation or CPA track preferred.
• Background with a Big Four or nationally recognized public accounting firm highly preferred.
• Approximately 2-4 years of professional accounting experience , including a combination of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience.
