Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, documenting all findings accurately from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that are responsive to the unique needs of individual clients, as well as couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that employ effective therapeutic techniques to encourage client participation and progress.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and effective recovery.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Make referrals to additional services or specialists as appropriate, ensuring that clients receive holistic support across their treatment journey.

• Provide ongoing support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them to navigate mental health challenges in their loved ones.

• Proactively identify at-risk behaviors that may impede recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults and families dealing with various mental and emotional health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• A successful score on required examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Demonstrated previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on providing quality care.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR to manage patient documentation and treatment tracking.

• Comprehensive understanding of common co-occurring conditions and effective treatment techniques for substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal abilities and a sympathetic disposition.

• Understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by physicians and how they relate to therapy.
