Premise Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity, primarily delivering care through a telehealth platform. This role is essential for providing specialized therapeutic support to individuals navigating the complex challenges of trauma recovery.

Work Environment\n

As a remote mental health counselor at Premise Therapy Center, you will work primarily from your home, utilizing our telehealth systems to provide care to clients. Fostering a supportive culture, we encourage teamwork and collaboration among our mental health professionals, even in a virtual setting. Your work schedule will generally follow a Monday through Friday timeframe, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and identify the most effective treatment methodologies.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and building resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their healing journeys.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process trauma and learn essential coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to offer integrated and comprehensive care tailored to the specific needs of each client.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely assistance.
\n
• Educate both patients and family members about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources.
\n
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential case documentation in compliance with all applicable legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives that focus on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy and integrate best practices into your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on clients who are survivors of trauma. This may include individuals experiencing PTSD, those dealing with complex trauma, and individuals with dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in guiding these individuals through their healing processes, fostering resilience, and promoting mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure counseling experience is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in computer applications necessary for telehealth practice.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience post-licensure is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and approaches is also advantageous, as it enhances the ability to effectively reach and support clients remotely.

Compensation and Benefits\n
