Work Environment\n

This full-time position is remote, providing flexibility while maintaining a focus on effective client care. The therapist will connect with clients through secure virtual platforms, ensuring that despite the physical distance, a reliable therapeutic relationship can flouris. The standard work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of our clients, emphasizing our commitment to individualized care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health evaluations, assessing clients to understand their trauma histories and identifying optimal treatment pathways.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that primarily focus on healing trauma and enhancing resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and develop critical coping strategies.

• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to create a comprehensive and integrated treatment approach for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support when clients experience trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, available coping techniques, and supportive healing options.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities, enhancing your own skills and contributing to the team's knowledge base.

• Stay informed about advancements in trauma therapy research to apply best practices in your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population served by our center includes trauma survivors, especially those impacted by PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. We are particularly focused on individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing the distinct experiences that shape their mental health needs and access to care. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or psychologist.

• Strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, openness, and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Ability to remain composed and supportive in high-stress settings.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various computer applications.

• A collaborative spirit that promotes effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in trauma-focused therapy is encouraged but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
