Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health needs, strengths, and challenges.

• Deliver high-quality, face-to-face therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families, focusing on objectives that promote healing and growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and solution-focused therapy.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring that clients receive immediate support during critical moments.

• Engage in regular collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care strategies and share client progress.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with all New York state regulations, ensuring that client records are updated and accurate.

• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and continuous professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Alcentra Counseling, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, and adjustment issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients develop coping strategies, improve communication, and foster healthier relationships, ultimately leading to improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Possess a current, active LMFT license in New York, with no disciplinary actions against your license.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in outpatient or community mental health settings.

• Proven proficiency in using evidence-based therapeutic interventions to meet client needs.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey empathy and foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
