Manual Lathe Machinist

Job Description Job Description MANUAL MACHINIST WITH EXPERTISE IN MANUAL LATHES. Qualified candidates will be required to complete a brief hands-on manual lathe test as part of the interview process. Responsibilities: * Set up and operate manual lathes * Perform threading, turning, and boring to tight tolerances * Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings * Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges * Maintain a clean and safe work environment * Follow all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE (protective clothing, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots) * Inspect parts for visible defects, including dents, rust, dirt, or size variations, prior to starting the work Qualifications: * Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a manual lathe machinist * Must supply own tools * Strong attention to detail and accuracy Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 75 pounds as needed Skill Requirements: Ability to comprehend instructions and read complicated drawings. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other instruments used.
