Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, utilizing best practices to establish rapport and understanding.

• Delivering individual and family therapy grounded in a treatment plan tailored to the unique needs of clients.

• Maintaining precise billing documentation, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms within required deadlines.

• Creating personalized crisis plans and safety plans as necessary to support clients in times of need.
\n
• Developing and executing discharge plans to facilitate smooth transitions and continued support.
\n
• Ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements, as well as Serenity Peaks policies and procedures.

• Engaging in continuous professional development through required training and education to stay current in your field.

• Participating in case consultations and agency meetings to discuss client progress and collaborate with team members.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this position, you will need:

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field that qualifies you for licensure.

• Active licensure as a mental health therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience\n

While we consider all qualified applicants, previous experience in outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and working with diverse populations will enhance your candidacy. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is highly advantageous in this role.
