Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite in our rehabilitation facility located in South River, NJ. Here, you will collaborate closely with fellow physical therapists, assistants, and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, enhancing muscle function, and maintaining maximum performance aligned with each client's capabilities.
• Oversee the implementation of treatment plans by physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols and standards.
• Conduct evaluations to assess functionality through a variety of diagnostic tests for muscles, nerves, joints, and overall functional abilities.
• Make assessments of the client's home environment to inform recommendations that enhance their independence and rehabilitation success.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, guiding clients in both manual and non-manual functional activities.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Participate in the development and ongoing evaluation of comprehensive care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing to holistic treatment planning and delivery.
• Educate clients and their families on therapy regimens, equipment use, and overall wellness strategies, ensuring they feel empowered and informed throughout their treatment journey.
• Serve as a supervisor to Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance and educational support as required by state law.
• Perform on-site assessments and make recommendations regarding community resources to aid in patient rehabilitation.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including timely documentation of clinical and payroll data per clinic protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and care excellence.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and experience in implementing evidence-based practice modalities will be highly regarded. Knowledge of the latest trends in physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription tactics is also desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
