Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Spectra Self Care Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting diagnostic evaluations and delivering effective short-term psychotherapy for mental health issues, employing various methods including case management and treatment planning.

• Providing psychotherapeutic services to individuals, families, groups, and specialized Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs), ensuring comprehensive care delivery.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients, including crisis intervention, couples counseling, and family therapy.

• Collaborating with licensed psychologists and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care and enviable therapeutic outcomes.

• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation by utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and adhering to confidentiality standards.

• Engaging in regular team meetings to review cases, discuss quality assurance concerns, and develop best practice protocols for service delivery.

• Continuously updating clinical skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are required for potential candidates:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) in the state of New York.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience providing psychotherapy services in a clinical setting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using telehealth platforms for service delivery and experience in maintaining electronic health records.

Preferred Experience\n

While the above qualifications are essential, applicants with prior experience in community health settings or specialized training in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) may be preferred. Familiarity with the latest diagnostic tools, including the DSM, will also be beneficial in assessing client needs effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Spectra Self Care Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
