Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations for your caseload of patients, formulating detailed treatment plans that address their individual therapeutic needs.

• Provide individual psychotherapy to adults in an outpatient pain clinic setting, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

• Facilitate weekly psychoeducational class sessions focused on pain management strategies, coping skills, and wellness, tailored for individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions.

• Manage a diverse caseload, evaluating the clinical progress of clients in specialized programs, ensuring continuity of care and effective follow-up.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in our electronic medical record (EMR) system to uphold compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the clinic, making necessary referrals to other services as dictated by the patients' individual needs.

• Stay informed of best practices in pain psychology, contributing to the development and enhancement of clinical protocols and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with injured workers who often grapple with anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain. The patients served in our hospice center require a therapeutic approach that fosters resilience while addressing both psychological and physical challenges. As part of your role, you will be vital in providing support and facilitating coping mechanisms, helping clients navigate their recovery journeys more effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• An active California license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in therapeutic settings, particularly with populations facing chronic pain or trauma.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
