Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate temperament counseling sessions for parents, focusing on their emotional challenges and strengths in caregiving.

• Conduct thorough developmental evaluations for children presented in hospice care, assessing their emotional and psychological needs.
\n
• Document all services provided accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Lead and facilitate support groups for parents, creating a safe and therapeutic environment conducive to sharing experiences and healing.
\n
• Provide training and guidance for parents managing the complexities of raising children with mental health needs, particularly those impacted by prenatal substance exposure.

• Develop individualized intervention strategies for families and contribute to the interdisciplinary care team to enhance holistic patient support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be focusing on families with terminally ill members, especially those children affected by such circumstances. You will work closely with parents facing unique challenges, utilizing your expertise in social work to address their emotional needs, educate on developmental milestones, and enhance their overall family dynamics during this difficult time.

Qualifications\n

• Active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) from a recognized governing body.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program.
\n
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare environment, with at least one year spent in a mental health setting.

• Strong background in parent-child interventions and familiarity with normal child development principles.
\n
• Deep understanding of issues related to parenting, child abuse/neglect, and the impact of terminal illness on family dynamics.

• Proven clinical and case management experience in social service or healthcare settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
