Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while maintaining awareness of public activity and supporting order throughout the location. Work closely with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed, while following post orders and Allied Universal standards. Minimum Requirements: Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Possess a college degree. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a corrections officer license. Possess a law enforcement officer license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
