As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Enhanced Part Time in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule Wed: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Support public‑facing operations by assisting visitors, employees, or contractors with directions, information, and response during routine and emergency‑related situations. Minimum Requirements An armed guard card/license is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree with 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
