Description Title: HR and Recruiting Coordinator Compensation: $25 - $28 per hour Schedule: Full-Time; Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Occasional overtime may be required. Hybrid – remote on Fridays Location: In-person - Calabasas, CA Poms & Associates is seeking a Human Resources & Recruiting Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. This role provides administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, HR systems maintenance, and general HR functions, ensuring processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies. What You'll Do: Assist the department in managing various human resources programs, processes and procedures. Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including: Post open positions and manage job postings Conduct initial candidate screening and phone interviews Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and interview teams Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process Update applicant and hiring status in the HRIS/ATS Assist with the preparation and coordination of offer letters and pre-employment documentation Serve as a liaison between candidates, hiring managers, and HR to ensure a positive and professional candidate experience. Coordinate and facilitate all pre-onboarding activities Lead and conduct new hire onboarding sessions to ensure a smooth and engaging introduction to the organization. Ensure completion and accurate processing of new hire paperwork and system setup. Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general employment questions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation within HRIS and other systems. Assist with employee lifecycle events such as job changes, leaves of absence, and terminations, including documentation and coordination. Assist with occasional payroll administration tasks. Support special HR projects, research, and process improvements as assigned. Generate and prepare identified HR reports, audits, and documentation as requested. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations. Perform other duties, projects and research as assigned. Occasional travel may be required. What You'll Need to Succeed: High school diploma or GED required; College degree is a plus HR Information System experience; Paylocity experience is a plus At least 1 year Human Resources experience or related role Exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to remain effective under pressure Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Collaborate effectively in a team environment, exhibiting strong self-starting capabilities with minimal supervision. High attention to detail and strong follow-through. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Show a genuine willingness to learn, coupled with intuition, resourcefulness, and coachability. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with HRIS/ATS systems preferred. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
