Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients during initial consultations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate appropriate therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, aligning with their specific needs and goals.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to assist clients effectively in their therapeutic journey.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout treatment, making adjustments to intervention strategies as necessary to support optimal recovery.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to create comprehensive care plans and facilitate integrated treatment approaches.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes from intake to discharge, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in Kansas.

• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong ability to engage with clients empathetically and develop trustful therapeutic relationships.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maximize efficiency in documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring disorders, physical health conditions, or addiction issues.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and a thorough understanding of medication effects on mental health.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities, allowing for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
