Work Environment

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to provide therapy from the comfort of your own space while staying connected with a collaborative team of mental health professionals. The work schedule is structured to be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, facilitating a routine that promotes both productivity and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions tailored to clients' needs, focusing on mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) techniques that promote relaxation, stress management, and emotional awareness.
• Conduct thorough initial assessments to ascertain client stressors, mental health challenges, and personal goals, shaping individualized treatment plans grounded in mindfulness practices.
• Lead mindfulness exercises, meditation sessions, and breathing strategies with clients to enhance self-awareness and cultivate positive coping mechanisms.
• Facilitate group workshops and interactive classes centered on mindfulness, stress management strategies, and resilience-building techniques, fostering a supportive community for client engagement.
• Incorporate mindfulness into one-on-one therapy sessions to address specific mental health issues, guiding clients through therapeutic discussions that encourage self-discovery and growth.
• Collaborate effectively with other therapists and healthcare providers to ensure integrated care and a comprehensive approach to treatment that centers mindfulness practices.
• Maintain meticulous records of client progress, documentation of interventions, and treatment strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices in mental health care.
• Engage in personal mindfulness practice and professional development opportunities, enhancing expertise in MBSR and related methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse clientele that includes individuals of all ages experiencing a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to stress-related disorders. We serve a community-oriented population, welcoming clients from various backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care that respects individual experiences and fosters healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCISW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts is required.
• A foundational understanding and some practical training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) methodologies is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to creatively integrate mindfulness into therapeutic interventions to enhance client outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a calming therapeutic presence that makes clients feel safe and supported.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in leading mindfulness-based therapy sessions or workshops that have demonstrated efficacy in improving client mental health.
• Prior experience working in community health settings, particularly with diverse populations facing a range of mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
