Work Environment

This licensed position is primarily remote, allowing for a dynamic work-life balance while ensuring access to top-quality care. Our remote community health clinic framework utilizes technology to facilitate seamless client interaction, including teletherapy sessions, e-health tracking, and digital documentation through electronic medical records (EMR). Despite being a remote role, our team fosters a collaborative atmosphere with regular virtual meetings, training sessions, and peer supervision to enhance engagement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses and needs, ensuring to gather factual and emotional backgrounds.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic goals tailored to each client's unique circumstances, while considering their feedback and progress.
• Create a safe, confidential space for one-on-one and group counseling sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to facilitate healing and growth.
• Lead family therapy sessions as necessary, focusing on improving communication and resolving conflicts within the family unit.
• Regularly monitor clients' progress, documenting interactions and revising treatment plans to adapt to clients’ evolving needs.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists and medical social workers, to coordinate care and provide holistic support.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to stay abreast of new developments in mental health care methodologies and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient demographic including children, adolescents, adults, and families seeking mental health support. Clients may present with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Your expertise will guide them in navigating their mental health journeys, making measurable impacts on their well-being and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field.
• A valid state license to practice as a mental health counselor is required, signifying your qualified status to provide professional care.
• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, especially in outpatient settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and collaboration with team members.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and teletherapy platforms to ensure efficient documentation and client interaction.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with children and families, particularly in outpatient environments.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other relevant modalities.
• Knowledge of local resources and community services relevant to mental health support in Springfield, MA.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of $85,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
