Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Brightside Health Center, your contributions will significantly impact our clients’ lives through a range of clinical services, including:

• Group Therapy: Facilitate engaging and supportive group sessions that promote shared experiences and peer learning among clients.
• Individual Therapy: Provide tailored counseling to clients to help them navigate their emotions, thoughts, and behavioral patterns while developing practical coping strategies.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to design personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans that align with their specific mental health needs and aspirations.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly track client progress using various assessment tools, ensuring that therapeutic approaches are effective and adaptable.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with fellow mental health professionals and community partners to coordinate client care and share insights on complex cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are enrolled in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This age group faces unique challenges in transitioning to adulthood, and our mission is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care that empowers them to overcome these hurdles. You will help create safe and nurturing spaces for clients to explore their struggles and celebrate their victories.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a deep commitment to ethical practice in mental health care.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with young adults and a good understanding of the unique challenges they face.
• Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or similar approaches.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and tracking of client progress.
