Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individual clients, which may include crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication management protocols.
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and efficient manner, complying with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Employ evidence-based screening instruments as outlined by the clinical team to evaluate the mental health needs of clients.
• Collaborate closely with fellow team members and multidisciplinary programs to create and implement effective positive behavior support strategies.
• Participate actively in all licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the quality and integrity of our services.
• Stay abreast of developments in mental health practices and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Healing Place Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and those recovering from traumatic brain injuries. Your role will be crucial in helping clients navigate their paths toward recovery and wellness, and your empathetic approach will foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting is essential.
• License eligibility in the state of Florida is required.
• A valid, clean driver’s license is necessary for any potential travel related to client needs.
• Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly with clients.
• Strong empathetic listening skills combined with the capability to guide clients through their challenges effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple client caseloads effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in community health settings or with diverse populations is preferred.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote counseling practices is an advantage.
• Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans and positive behavior support systems.
