Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based screening tools to inform diagnoses.
• Provide individualized one-on-one counseling sessions that facilitate the management of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, major depression, trauma, and substance use challenges.
• Lead group therapy sessions to promote community support and development, employing activities that foster open discussion, introspection, and coping strategy exchange among clients.
• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans, establishing measurable goals and therapeutic interventions that align with their unique needs and aspirations.
• Manage crisis situations by executing risk assessments swiftly and effectively, offering immediate support and coordinating emergency services as needed.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in mental health practices by engaging in continual professional development, attending workshops, and accessing relevant literature.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health providers, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care strategies for our clients.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• Completion of three years of supervised clinical experience, incorporating essential on-the-job training relevant to mental health practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting client assessments and formulating diagnosis-driven treatment strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish a strong therapeutic rapport with clients effectively.
• Dedication to ongoing education and training, keeping current with best practices in mental health treatment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, leveraging technology to enhance client engagement and treatment outcomes.
• Specialized training or certifications in trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or family therapy can set candidates apart.
• A proven track record of incorporating feedback from clients and fellow professionals to improve therapeutic techniques and client care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
