Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular individual, group, and family therapy sessions via telehealth, addressing a myriad of mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, substance use, trauma responses, and relational conflicts.
• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments to develop tailored treatment plans, ensuring alignment with each client's specific goals and needs, and revisiting plans as necessary to facilitate progress.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, mental health professionals, and educators within our integrated care approach, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Document all client interactions, treatment details, and progress notes accurately using our electronic health record system while ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.
• Engage in continual professional development by participating in clinical supervision sessions and workshops, remaining current with emerging best practices in mental health treatment.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments to ensure client safety and stabilization, adapting interventions when urgent circumstances arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse client population encompassing various backgrounds and mental health challenges. This includes individuals grappling with mood disorders, complex trauma histories, substance dependency, and interpersonal relationship issues. Your expertise will help provide tailored support, enabling clients to navigate their unique emotional landscapes and empower them on their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• Valid licensure as a mental health counselor in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of proven experience delivering counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a focus on compassion and ethical practice.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record software and telehealth technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral networks to assist clients in accessing additional support services.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary structure ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 yearly, reflective of your experience and expertise in the field.
