Position Overview

Family Insight Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, and a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for seniors, identifying their unique emotional and psychological needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to address conditions related to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and grief.
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare specialists, including primary care physicians and social workers, to develop customized care plans aimed at enhancing the overall well-being of elderly clients.
• Provide psychoeducation to families about the mental health issues facing their loved ones, fostering an environment of understanding and support.
• Implement and oversee cognitive stimulation programs designed to promote cognitive health among elderly individuals, incorporating both therapeutic techniques and routine assessments to measure progress.
• Address issues of grief and loss, offering compassionate support to seniors and their families experiencing end-of-life challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on senior clients facing mental health challenges associated with aging, such as loss of independence, bereavement, and chronic illness. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• Current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Washington State is mandatory.
• At least four years of experience in geriatric mental health counseling is essential.
• Proven ability to work effectively with elderly clients facing a range of mental health issues.

Preferred Experience

• Additional training or certifications in geriatric mental health or aging-related care is highly valued.
• Experience implementing evidence-based practices that support mental health and cognitive wellness in seniors.
• Strong understanding of the ethical and legal aspects of geriatric counseling.
