Work Environment

This role embraces a fully remote work setting, allowing you to provide compassionate care from the comfort of your home office while ensuring you maintain a work-life balance. You will regularly interface with clients via telehealth platforms, ensuring that you have access to essential resources and support from our outpatient office team in Everett, Washington. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments of senior clients to identify their specific needs and challenges.
• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions that address issues related to aging, such as coping with loss, managing chronic illness, and navigating life transitions.
• Collaborating with healthcare specialists and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that enhance the overall well-being of clients.
• Designing and implementing cognitive stimulation programs aimed at improving mental acuity and engagement among elderly clients.
• Educating family members and staff about effective techniques to support the emotional health of senior clients.
• Providing compassionate grief and loss counseling to individuals and their families during the challenging end-of-life process.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to the unique needs of the geriatric population.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus at Family Insight Counseling Center is seniors who face various mental health challenges. This includes individuals coping with grief, transitioning into new life phases, and managing age-related illnesses. You will engage with clients in a supportive manner, helping them to foster resilience, enhance their coping strategies, and improve their overall quality of life. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Washington State.
• A minimum of four years of recent professional experience in geriatric mental health counseling.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices relevant to the mental health needs of older adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful connections with clients and their families.
• Demonstrated ability to assess complex mental health situations and develop effective treatment strategies accordingly.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications are essential, the following experiences would enhance your application:

• Additional training or certifications in geriatric counseling, mental health conditions commonly affecting older adults, or aging-related diseases.
• Proven experience designing and implementing therapy programs for senior populations.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital counseling tools.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, in addition to a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Our benefits package includes:
