Position Overview

Meru Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions, focusing on a wide array of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, and trauma.
• Perform thorough diagnostic assessments to better understand clients' needs, and develop comprehensive treatment plans aimed at their goals and aspirations.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators to ensure holistic care for all clients.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic health records (EHR), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and fostering compliant documentation practices.
• Engage in regular clinical supervision and professional development to stay current on therapeutic modalities, best practices, and licensure requirements.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary, offering timely support during critical moments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse client population that may include children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health challenges. This diversity is enriched by the individuality of each client’s circumstances and backgrounds, requiring careful and empathetic handling to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• A minimum of two years experience providing therapeutic counseling to individuals, groups, and families is essential.
• Exemplary communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to foster positive engagements with clients and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and actively contribute to shared goals.
• Proficiency in electronic health record management and telehealth technology to facilitate seamless service delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with different therapeutic modalities will be advantageous (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, etc.).
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms to optimize the client experience.
• Experience in crisis intervention and management may be beneficial in handling high-risk situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
