Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to understand clients’ mental health conditions, history, and treatment goals.
• Develop personalized therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, which may involve cognitive-behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and other evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate regular individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with the tools and strategies necessary for overcoming their challenges.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Provide referrals to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in continuous education and training sessions to keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in mental health counseling.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.
• Current and valid licensure in the state of Georgia as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• A minimum of four years of professional experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a robust understanding of mental health disorders and their treatments.
• Expertise in delivering both individual and group therapy, employing culturally responsive approaches that resonate with diverse populations.
• Strong crisis intervention skills combined with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at building rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
