Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to accurately identify client needs, strengths, and areas requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused approaches.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a supportive environment that fosters community and healing among participants dealing with shared mental health concerns.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to client needs.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services to clients in distress and devise appropriate safety plans to manage risks effectively.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development, participating in mandatory team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources to empower them on their journey to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from various backgrounds and represent a wide range of mental health needs, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and other behavioral health disorders. The role of LMHC is vital in providing culturally sensitive care that acknowledges the unique experiences and challenges each client faces.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.
• In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, coupled with a proven ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet diverse client needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for dynamic therapy and collaboration.
• Commitment to ethical practice and professional boundaries within therapeutic relationships.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) applications and other relevant technology tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing therapy to a diverse clientele, particularly in community health settings.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention strategies.
• Prior work within a collaborative health team approach in mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits
