Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Opportunity

Great Bliss Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in improving the mental well-being of our diverse clientele through thoughtful assessments, tailored treatment plans, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As a member of our outpatient team, you will be equipped with all necessary resources and tools, such as AVATAR electronic health records, to help you deliver exemplary care. Regular meetings will facilitate collaboration, keeping communication open and your skills sharp.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, assessing clients' needs and documenting their cases from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for a broad range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices that resonate with the therapeutic goals established in collaboration with clients.
• Monitor and evaluate ongoing progress within treatment plans, making necessary adjustments and documenting these changes efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and social workers to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
• Follow up with clients who have been hospitalized, providing support and continuity of care to minimize disruptions in their recovery process.
• Identify and address behaviors or patterns that may hinder recovery, employing proactive strategies to support clients and their families.
• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, enabling them to effectively manage mental and behavioral health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse population, including individuals facing a spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your expertise will help empower clients to navigate their unique experiences and work towards achieving their personal and therapeutic goals. Our focus is on fostering resilience and promoting sustainable mental health across all demographics.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation and enhance service delivery.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the interpersonal dynamics involved in mental health treatment and the impacts of underlying physical health conditions on mental well-being.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear, compassionate dialogue with clients and team members.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting.
• A background in treating addiction disorders and familiarity with comorbid physical health issues.
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
• In-depth understanding of the pharmacological therapies prescribed by medical specialists and their psychological implications.

Compensation and Benefits
