Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify client needs and establish effective treatment strategies.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to individual client requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues from various specialties to develop integrated treatment plans that offer holistic support for clients.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development initiatives to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
• Actively contribute to program development efforts, proposing new initiatives that enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and supportive counseling for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, contributing to effective continuity of care.
• Engage in continuous learning by keeping abreast of the latest research and developments in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Clarity Consciousness Integration Service, you will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing a range of emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your empathetic approach will be essential in fostering strong therapeutic relationships, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys in a culturally competent manner.

Qualifications

• A minimum requirement of a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience providing mental health services to individuals facing emotional challenges.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems to document client sessions and maintain up-to-date service records.
• Experience in delivering counseling to a diverse population of clients, showcasing a commitment to cultural competence.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively and foster rapport quickly.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to function both independently and within a team-based environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 52,000 to USD 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
