Work Environment

Our counselors work remotely, allowing for flexibility in managing work-life balance while still maintaining a supportive and collaborative environment. Although our counselors primarily operate from home, they remain closely connected to their colleagues through regular virtual meetings and team-building exercises. The outpatient focus of our practice ensures that counselors are engaged with clients needing ongoing support in non-crisis situations, providing care in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth preliminary interviews with clients to assess their mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings meticulously from the initial consultation throughout the treatment process.
• Designing and implementing tailored treatment plans and intervention strategies suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to foster healing and provide a platform for shared experiences.
• Monitoring and documenting clients' progress towards their recovery goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and adjustments as necessary throughout the treatment plan.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintaining communication with other providers regarding medication and hospital admissions, ensuring continuity of care.
• Recognizing potential barriers to recovery and implementing strategies to mitigate these challenges effectively.
• Offering guidance and support to families and primary caregivers dealing with mental and behavioral challenges to promote a collaborative recovery environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of adults, adolescents, and families facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We strive to create a safe space for all individuals, respecting the diverse backgrounds of our clients. The counselor's understanding of cultural nuances and individual experiences is key in effectively guiding clients towards improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
• Successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• At least two years of prior experience in mental health counseling with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, enhancing documentation and patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with clients managing dual diagnoses (co-occurring disorders) such as addiction and mental health issues.
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, incorporating current methodologies into therapy.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and the effects of various psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, facilitating strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Rich interpersonal skills, highlighting empathy, compassion, and an understanding nature vital to effective counseling.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a generous sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
