Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, evaluating emotional, psychological, and medical history to tailor effective treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that incorporate evidenced-based modalities for psychiatric and behavioral health issues.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, managing diverse patient circumstances and fostering a supportive atmosphere for growth and healing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, to coordinate integrated care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention services and continuous support for patients during mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Educate patients on the interplay between mental and physical health, empowering them to take active roles in their treatment.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation that aligns with compliance standards and ethical practices.
• Engage actively in team meetings and case conferences to contribute insights and improve overall service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population, including individuals with co-occurring medical and mental conditions. Understanding the unique challenges that these patients face is crucial. Our patients often experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, and mood disorders intertwined with physical health issues, necessitating a holistic and empathetic approach to their care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
• Proven experience in providing mental health services to individuals dealing with co-occurring disorders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with patients.
• Ability to uphold professional boundaries while ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in utilizing health informatics tools, including electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy environments is highly desirable.
• Prior involvement with integrated health care teams or collaborative care models.
• Continuing education or specific training in trauma-informed care or mental health crises management.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
