The South Spring Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) to join our compassionate team. Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to connect with clients via digital platforms while maintaining the quality and standard of care typical of an in-person setting. The outpatient focus means you will have the chance to build ongoing therapeutic relationships with clients, monitor their progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary, all from a supportive, digitally-accessed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to document mental health histories, emotional wellbeing, and behavioral patterns to develop informed treatment strategies.
• Create individualized, family-centered intervention plans that align with clinical guidelines and best practices, focusing on the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and substantive therapeutic engagement.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to meet treatment goals effectively.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Provide educational resources to family members and primary caregivers to empower them to support their loved ones during the recovery process.
• Stay informed about current developments in mental health therapies and integrate evidence-based interventions into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary client population includes adults and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. Qualifications

• A valid master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and colleagues.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills reflecting empathy and a commitment to holistic client care.

Preferred Experience

• A proven track record of experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Experience in addressing both mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• A familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• An understanding of prescribed medications and their effects on mental health as we support clients’ diverse treatment needs.

Compensation and Benefits
