Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting all relevant information from initial consultations through the course of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform proper treatment strategies.

• Develop comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote self-awareness and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress continuously throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other specialists to strategize intervention plans and respond to clients’ evolving needs.
\n
• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and primary care physicians for clients requiring additional medical interventions.
\n
• Utilize your insights to identify and deter maladaptive behaviors impacting recovery, intervening proactively.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and varying degrees of mental health challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve understanding their unique situations and contributing to their personal growth and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in Pennsylvania.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
\n
• A passing score on the NCE (National Counselor Examination) and/or NCMHCE (National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination).
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems; familiarity with AVATAR or similar software is preferred.
\n
• Strong understanding of psychological principles and familiarity with current best practices as guided by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• Significant previous experience working as a mental health counselor, preferably in community health settings.
\n
• Experience addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications, which may assist you in providing well-rounded client care.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, to effectively document client progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
\n
• Possession of strong interpersonal skills with an inherent ability to empathize with clients and their families.
