Position Details Job Title: Correctional Plant Manager, II Classification: CORRECTIONAL PLANT MANAGER II, DEPT OF CORRECTIONS Salary Range: $8,641.00 - $10,736.00 Number of Positions: 1 Location: Kern County, Tehachapi, CA Telework: In Office Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Job Overview Under the direction of the Associate Warden of Business Services, the Correctional Plant Manager II is responsible for supervising Plant Operations staff and incarcerated personnel in the operation, maintenance, and repair of institution equipment, buildings, and grounds, including heating, lighting, water treatment, sewage disposal, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, and auxiliary equipment. Responsibilities Supervise Plant Operations staff and incarcerated persons. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of institutional equipment and facilities. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards for heating, lighting, and environmental systems. Coordinate with other departments to support institutional functions. Qualifications Minimum qualifications are detailed in the Classification Specification. Experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related fields is preferred. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to manage complex maintenance programs and staff schedules. Knowledge of safety regulations and institutional procedures.
