Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorders, noting the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and adapt these strategies based on ongoing assessments.

• Provide educational support to clients and their families on understanding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual evolution and feedback.

• Engage in collaborative practices with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies and improve patient outcomes.

• Maintain diligent documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and their unique needs, ensuring access to appropriate resources and services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on clients struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You may also work with underserved populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your work will significantly impact these individuals by providing them crucial support and guidance on their journey toward healing and stability.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
