The position is structured for remote work, allowing therapists significant flexibility in managing their schedules. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique histories and identify their needs effectively.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions, adapting them to meet the personal and cultural contexts of each patient.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing a client-centered approach to foster resilience and enhance well-being.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate patient care and provide comprehensive treatment.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and appropriate resource referral.

• Provide education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment plans, and community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency workshops to continuously improve practice standards.

• Stay current with best practices, research findings, and cultural factors impacting mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals from various demographics, including those who identify as ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants navigating unique challenges. Therapists are encouraged to utilize their expertise in cultural competence to address the specific needs of these populations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, with a focus on cultural sensitivity.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive methodologies.

• Strong crisis intervention capabilities coupled with the ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster rapport with a diverse array of clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
