Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center in Boca Raton, Florida, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and tools to facilitate optimal patient care. Here, we emphasize a collaborative team-based environment. You will work alongside other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff, to deliver fully integrated therapeutic services. The center operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by using diagnostic methodologies to assess their physical capabilities, including motor, joint, and functional abilities.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on alleviating pain, restoring mobility, and improving muscle function, all tailored to the specific conditions of each client.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy exercises, traction, and massage, complemented by education on home exercise programs to maximize recovery.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring a dynamic approach to each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify orthopedic devices such as braces and splints to enhance patient mobility and comfort, consulting with physicians for any needed adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers around an orthopedic patient population, predominantly focusing on individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You will apply your expertise to assist patients of varying ages and backgrounds, offering personalized care that respects their individual challenges and progress. Your ability to foster strong therapeutic relationships will be essential in encouraging patient compliance and enthusiasm throughout their recovery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure in Florida as a Physical Therapist is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic settings or related fields is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic treatment assessment, patient care planning, and intervention techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is highly regarded.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with geriatric populations or in acute care settings will be advantageous.
• Advanced certifications in orthopedic therapy practices or specialties are preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
