Make a real difference each day by providing dedicated support as a 1:1 paraprofessional for a high school student near Philadelphia, PA. This role requires working 35 hours per week, following the school calendar from the first day of classes until the last. In this position, you’ll work directly with one student, aged 15, ensuring their educational, behavioral, and social needs are met according to their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school setting
• Experience with individualized support or special education highly valued
• Required: Active child abuse, criminal, and police background clearances
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting student safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a dedicated 1:1 paraprofessional for a 15-year-old student throughout the school day
• Follow the established IEP to provide academic and behavioral support
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and social integration
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to the educational team
• Support the student’s participation in both academic and extracurricular settings
• Encourage independence while providing a structured, positive environment
