Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate parent support groups, creating a therapeutic environment for engaging discussions and sharing experiences.

• Provide specialized training to parents of children with mental health needs, focusing on issues surrounding parenting, including the unique challenges faced by those with prenatally substance-exposed children.

• Conduct temperament counseling for parents, helping them understand and manage their children's behaviors.
\n
• Perform comprehensive developmental evaluations of children to assess their needs and inform intervention strategies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all provided services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with families and children navigating various mental health challenges. Your focus will be on parents dealing with complex issues, including those related to adoption and childhood trauma. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the well-being of children in our community, allowing them to develop healthily and thrive in their environments.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with at least one year in mental health.

• Current and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW).
\n
• Strong background in parent-child interventions.

• Deep knowledge of normal child development, effective parenting practices, and issues related to child abuse and neglect.

• Experience in case management or related clinical work within social services or healthcare settings.
