This position allows for flexible remote work while also incorporating in-home visits to provide therapy. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in clients' homes or at our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Deliver targeted therapy focusing on emotional regulation, coping strategies, social skills development, and reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.

• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and external professionals to create individualized treatment plans that encompass the unique needs of each child and family.
\n
• Document all client interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

• Participate in monthly team meetings and provide insights for treatment planning and case management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be providing therapeutic support to children aged 3 to 20 years who present with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work closely with caregivers to equip them with the skills necessary to manage behavioral challenges effectively and foster healthier family dynamics. This role is designed for bilingual therapists with proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese, enhancing our ability to serve a diverse clientele.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of a valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility considered beneficial.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in providing positive behavior support in therapeutic settings.

• Direct experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), fostering an understanding of their unique challenges and needs.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is necessary for in-home sessions.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
