Work Environment\n

This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while ensuring accessibility to quality treatment for families. As part of our community health clinic, you will interface with colleagues from various disciplines including case managers, social workers, and other therapists. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or provide group therapy at our outpatient center, utilizing best practices in therapeutic techniques.

• Implement structured anger management interventions, coping strategies, and social skills training to help reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Collaborate with caregivers to enhance decision-making skills and address behavioral challenges at home, creating actionable treatment plans tailored to each family’s unique needs.
\n
• Work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective communication concerning ongoing therapeutic efforts.
\n
• Document all clinical sessions thoroughly and timely, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly clinical meetings to review cases and contribute recommendations based on clinical insights and session outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, many of whom have been diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will be instrumental in addressing the unique emotional and behavioral challenges this population faces, providing them with the skills necessary to improve their quality of life and achieve greater independence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend availability being a plus.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for traveling to client locations.
\n
• A successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting, is required to ensure the safety of our vulnerable clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies to children with developmental disabilities.
\n
• Prior work experience with diverse populations, particularly children and families dealing with mental health challenges.
\n
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred, with skills in both individual and group therapies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
