Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the symptoms of clients, understanding the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborate closely with clients to co-create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to implement treatment interventions effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care strategies to foster empowerment and understanding.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated care tailored to the whole person.

• Stay updated on current research and methodologies pertaining to mood disorders to continuously enhance therapy effectiveness and client outcomes.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients come from marginalized populations, including the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, requiring a compassionate and understanding approach tailored to their unique circumstances. Your role is pivotal in offering them empathetic support and clinically effective strategies for recovery, ultimately guiding them toward a more stable and fulfilling life.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
