Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms and develop individualized, culturally sensitive treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to implement effective treatment strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans accordingly to align with their evolving needs.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care, ensuring the best outcomes for our clients.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through case consultations and team meetings to stay abreast of the latest research in mood disorders.

• Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Advocate for clients within the community to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, refugees escaping violence, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role is pivotal in providing them not only with therapeutic intervention but also with a supportive environment where they can share their experiences and foster healing.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
