Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while adhering to the standards of our school-based program. As a member of our professional team, you will collaborate with educators and other mental health professionals, ensuring that your work directly contributes to the mental health and academic achievement of the youth we serve. Our organization promotes a flexible work-life balance, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some scheduling flexibility may be needed to meet patient demands.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to gauge students’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress through ongoing adjustments as necessary.

• Provide therapeutic interventions utilizing various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy, tailored to address a range of mental health challenges.

• Facilitate engaging psychoeducational workshops and support groups for students, fostering a collaborative community that addresses common mental health issues.
\n
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school counselors, and parents to develop coordinated care plans that support each student academically and emotionally.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention services and support students experiencing mental health emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
\n
• Educate students and families about mental health topics, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their healing journey.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings to enhance treatment approaches and ensure cohesive patient care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to incorporate best practices into patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on serving students from diverse backgrounds within various educational settings. Therapists will engage with children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues, providing a safe space for them to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Experience in conducting detailed mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.
\n
• Proven ability to provide individual and group therapy to a culturally and socially diverse population.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with students and families.

• Strong ethical judgment and adherence to professional standards.

• Proficient in using EHR systems and technology to document sessions and manage case files efficiently.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in school-based services.

• Familiarity with the Massachusetts mental health landscape and resources for youth.

Compensation and Benefits\n
